2UrbanGirls is not surprised that Compton City Council candidate Michelle Chambers continues to receive endorsements from well respected individuals and organizations in the political community.
“I was honored to have received the endorsement from the Los Angeles African-American Women Political Action Committee (LAAAWPAC). Some of these ladies have mentored me throughout my career and I am proud to stand on their shoulders. Having a few residents from the City of Compton serving on LAAAWPAC soldified my leadership ability for the City of Compton. I would really like to thank the Honorable Barbara Calhoun, Nichelle Henderson, Pat Sanders and Celestine Palmer for coming to the “meet and greet”.
Chambers has already been endorsed by former U.S. Congresswoman Diane E. Watson (Ret.), the CA Democratic Party African-American Caucus, New Frontier Democratic Club, Progressive Democratic Club and the LA County Democratic Party and now you can add the Los Angeles African-American Women’s Political Action Committee (LAAAWPAC).
Compton College District Trustee Barbara Calhoun hosted the “meet and greet” and was supported by LAAAWPAC yo introduce Chambers as their candidate of choice for the Compton election.
The Black political community continues to stand with Chambers as her professionalism in her current and former position makes her the best candidate to represent Compton residents.
The Black community is making a profound statement that they support new leadership in the city and 2UrbanGirls is here for it.
LAAAWPAC is affiliated with the Los Angeles African-American Women’s Public Policy Institute (LAAAWPPI) which grooms women for public office. This author was a member of LAAAWPPI’s 2016 cohort.
