Inglewood Police Chief Mark Fronterotta is slipping on his assessment of crime in the city of Inglewood. His lack of knowledge of the city resulted in a death a block away from the highly publicized and city subsidized Taste of Inglewood.

Event attendees tell 2UrbanGirls that IPD personnel were barely visible at the event, despite expected attendance exceeding 10,000 people.
The event was slated from 11am – 6pm on Grevillea Ave between Manchester and Nutwood.
The stabbing occurred a block south of the event at Grevillea and Kelso and was reported at approx 3:30pm. While the victim lay dying, the party continued. Eerily similar to Whitney Houston laying dead in the bathtub in the Beverly Hilton Hotel while the party carried on in the ballroom several floors below.
City Hall insiders share with 2UrbanGirls that event organizer and City Planning Commissioner David Rice was given “love” due to his ties to Mayor James Butts, who regularly pays for ad space on a billboard owned by Rice, which is perched above Rice’s popular business, 313 Spa/Salon.
This event is also the first community event to take place in Councilman Eloy Morales’ district, since he’s been on the councilman and was probably to deflect from the LA County led investigation revolving around his taking a consulting contract from the trash company he voted in favor of providing services to Inglewood residents.
This death deflates the narrative that the city is safer and Frontereota is deserving of a salary and benefits package in excess of half a million of taxpayer dollars.
How many more favors will Inglewood business owners receive, by Mayor Butts, that will result in the death of city residents and/or visitors? More importantly, why are the Mayor and Police Chief misleading the public on crime stats?

Will city staffer Yakema Decatur be thrown under the bus for authorizing reduced staffing for the Taste of Inglewood on behalf of Councilman Eloy Morales? Why is Decatur signing and not Morales’ liasion Jaime Gutierrez? This is yet another document, Decatur is signing on behalf of others, that could provide severe consequences to her. Why aren’t Morales, City Manager Artie Fields and Executive Assistant to the Mayor/City Manager Melanie McDade signing their OWN documents?

They have been fudging these statistics for a long time. The only time you are the chief is when he is serving coffee at Starbucks. IPD does not patrol like it should given all the people encouraged to attend these events. Thus happened across the street from the police station. And this isn’t the first time. Butts claims you have to be up 24hrs to see the patrols. I see EVERYTIME I am in Culver City.
