Is Compton City Treasurer Doug Sanders hiding his deficiencies as the overseer of the city finances? After $3.7 million came up missing out of his office and two scathing audits revealed ineptness of the finance department, Mayor Aja Brown, the council members and City Manager Cecil Rhambo have made it clear they need to see the corrective steps Sanders will take to prevent further theft from his office. 2UrbanGirls previously brought to the residents attention that there is strife between Sanders and Rhambo as it relates to who will monitor cameras in the treasurers department. 2UrbanGirls has obtained an email exchange which residents should find disturbing and seeking new representation in the next election. Compton residents need to WAKE UP!

HONORABLE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
I have informed Mr. Sanders of your desire to have him do a public presentation concerning corrective actions (including any further administrative review of staff following the theft) in the Treasurer’s Office as it pertains to the State Auditor’s findings. I let him know that you would like the presentation in 3 weeks at the May 15th Council meeting.

How sad that city officials would steal from this already troubled city.
