Compton Unified Board Trustee President Micah Ali disputes portions of an article written by 2UrbanGirls regarding her support of education in the city of Compton. He has provided a copy of a letter sent to Rep. Nanette Barragan thanking her for supporting H.R. 2902- IDEA Full Funding Act to assist the nearly 3,000 students, in the district, with disabilities. Ali shared with 2UrbanGirls that Barragan has been on the front lines advocating for funding for arts education. “She has been a huge advocate on Capital Hill and has been personally responsive to Compton Unified School District,” said Ali.
