Compton Mayor Aja Brown has held one state of the city, that we are aware of, since becoming mayor in 2013. 2UrbanGirls reported on the event costing $100 per person with checks made payable to the mayor’s non-profit Urban Vision CDC instead of the city’s Chamber of Commerce. 2UrbanGirls has received the final costs for the production which left taxpayers on the hook for nearly $46,000. This ties in to the recently leaked preliminary state audit findings which declared Compton elected officials have used city money for personal gain.

The Los Angeles Times Angel Jennings reported more than 300 attendees assembled at Dollarhide Senior Center to listen to the mayor, while Compton residents watched a live feed at the Community College. A public records request found Urban Vision CDC did not complete an application to rent the facility.
Residents complained of the live feed of the event starting late and being difficult to watch. They were also fed hot dogs and potato chips while ticket holders received a more substantial meal and dessert.
Expense reports show $18,000 was spent on the streaming (live feed) and $30,000 went to the Hutt Group for consulting fees.

The mayor was able to defeat former Mayor’s Eric Perrodin (2013) and Omar Bradley (2017) citing their alleged waste of taxpayer money and it would appear the current mayor is now a subject of those same allegations.
According to the nonprofits 2016 tax filing, they received zero contributions but reported expenses in excess of $80,000.

I’m also interested in this topic and have recently started my journey as young entrepreneur.
I’m also looking for the ways on how to promote my website. I have tried AdSense and Facebok Ads, however it is getting very expensive. Was thinking about starting using analytics. Do you recommend it?
Can you recommend something what works best for you?
Would appreciate, if you can have a quick look at my website and give me an advice what I should improve: http://janzac.com/
(Recently I have added a new page about FutureNet and the way how users can make money on this social networking portal.)
I have subscribed to your newsletter. 🙂
Hope to hear from you soon.
P.S.
Maybe I will add link to your website on my website and you will add link to my website on your website? It will improve SEO of our websites, right? What do you think?
