Frazier is a Compton, CA native who left to attend college at Southern University and came back to the city working as liaison to former Senator, then Councilman Isadore Hall. Frazier has held several posts in the state legislature along with working with local nonprofits.
Compton Councilman Isaac Galvan shared with 2UrbanGirls that he received an early morning text from City Manager Cecil Rhambo confirming Frazier’s death.
Frazier was struck near the intersection of Atlantic and Alondra, due to a motorist not seeing him standing in the lane, outside of the cross walk. The motorist stopped and submitted to a field sobriety test with no proof of intoxication.
Frazier is survived by his mother, sister and host of family and friends.

Just wanted to say to the family and friends that the young man (later identified as Arturo Frazier ) wasn’t alone. Upon arrival to the scene we noticed him lying in the middle of the street and I shield him with my vehicle so that he didn’t get hit again by another vehicle. We provided temporary medical attention and contined to pray for him until the Paramedics arrived. We didn’t know Mr. Frazier at the time but I believe that we was there to be by his side through this terrible tragedy.
