WAGS LA opens its third season with an Inglewood native joining the roster. The show follows the Wives and Girlfriends of professional sports athletes with Dominique Penn as the newest member of the cast.
This author became familiar with Mrs. Penn due to her personal life becoming public fodder. Her husband, Donald Penn, also an Inglewood native, is a former St. Bernard’s football standout turned Oakland Raider, who fathered a daughter outside of the marriage. This thrust Mrs. Penn into the spotlight and scrutiny of the world.
Instead of folding, Mrs. Penn publicly discussed the situation with her followers on social media and became a beacon of light for women in how classy she handled the situation.
Dominique publicly accepted her step daughter and continued to flourish in her public and private life.
Dominique is an author, writing a children’s book series named for her eldest son DPIII and she has now turned her sights to building and designing children’s playhouses.
When asked by 2UrbanGirls why she is doing the show, Dominque responded she is simply on there to promote her brand (businesses). She credits GOD for her many blessings.
The Penn’s continue to stay close to their hometown through annual football/cheer camps held at El Camino College.
