Released will present autobiographical portraits of formerly incarcerated individuals as they walk out of the prison doors for the first time and during their first 90 days out while each attempts to reconnect with loved ones. The series will tell each of their stories through a diary lens and shed light on life after incarceration.
Released is executive-produced by Winfrey and Jon Sinclair and produced by Lucky 8 TV with executive producers Greg Henry, Kim Woodard, Jarrett Lambo and Keayr Braxton. Author and advocate Shaka Senghor is a consulting producer.
At the screening, Michaela Angela Davis moderated an emotional and informative Q&A discussion with author and consulting producer, Shaka Senghor, co-executive producer, Keayr Braxton, activist, asha bandele and HelloBeautiful.com staff writer Charise Frazier.
