The LA Times is reporting on the alleged Marion Barry of USC. Former Med School Dean Dr. Carmen A. Puliafito has been identified as an alleged drug using lover of prostitutes. Although he stepped down as the dean of the world-renowned Keck School of Medicine, Puliafito is a central witness in a $185-million lawsuit in which the University of California has accused USC of misconduct in its hiring away of a star researcher. Puliafito remains on the schools payroll and apparently the ire of those involved in the lawsuit.

For some reason Puliafito allowed himself to allegedly be filmed and captured on still photo with drug paraphernalia and allegedly using drugs. Apparently only the LA Times is allowed to see the incriminating photos in the possession of his “escort” identified as Sarah Warren, who showed the images to the Times as long as they weren’t published.
This case arose for someone with familiarity with Puliafito, anonymously contacted Pasadena PD over how they handled an investigation surrounding Warren’s overdosing in a swanky Pasadena hotel.
The same individual then turned to USC President C.L. Max Nikias urging him to also investigate the highly regarded doctor.
The anonymous person is only known by the LA Times.
Coincidence or does this emanate from the aforementioned lawsuit to discredit the good doctors credibility?
