A Compton Unified Personnel Commissioner is under investigation. The Compton Sheriff’s department has received notice of a “credible threat” made against Superintendent Darin Brawley and other top ranking school officials.

Captain Michael Thatcher, of the Compton Sheriff’s department, confirmed they have received a complaint in reference to Omar Spry and are in contact with Compton Unified officials who are assisting with the investigation.
Mr. Spry previously ran unsuccessfully for a seat on the Compton School board in 2015 and is apparently disgruntled over a recent layoff of an employee.
