as chairman of Measure S, which shall provide $350 million to rebuild Compton High School, our oldest campus, and transform it into a modern space for academic achievement, performing arts and athletic excellence, I was elated to welcome Dr. Dre (Andre Young) to the Compton Unified School District. Dr. Dre beamed with excitement, as I meticulously illustrated how CUSD has turned around. His desire to mold the future and nurture the talent, aspirations and passions of our students resonated loudly. I thank him for his visit and look forward to stretching the boundless aperture of innovation within public education.
