The ‘Compton Turns the Tables’ concert will showcase the talent of students age 15-21 who have participated in a new grant-funded 10-week course covering essential DJ skills and business, taught by DJ Lynne Denise, a professor at Cal State Los Angeles. Due to Compton’s rich and storied place in music history, it served as the perfect place to launch the program. The free concert will take place Saturday, May 6th at the Compton Library located at the intersection of Compton Blvd. and Willowbrook Ave.
