Compton council member Isaac Galvan handily won re-election last month. He made the news in 2013 for being the city’s first Latino council member. He also made the news for failure to file his campaign finance forms. Has history repeated itself?

2 Urban Girls initiated a public records request for his form 460’s and it was no surprise that once again, he has failed to file the mandatory disclosure forms.

According to government expert Bob Stern, quoted in an 2013 LA Weekly article on this same subject, told the reporter,
Galvan should have filed at least one campaign finance report before an April primary .
If Galvan didn’t raise or spend more than $1,000 for those elections, says Stern, then he should have filed a report stating that.
Galvan has publicly spoken of the many sponsorships and donations he is seeking to fund various youth programs and is also seeking new basketball court rims for Cesar Chavez Park. Will his campaign donors step up?
This blog supported Galvan’s re-election due to his being a first time elected who would’ve learned from his past mistakes. Clearly, he did not.
