A salacious rumor is making its way around the city of Compton. A current candidate for city council stated that the city will hold a special meeting, this week, to appoint a new city manager. The candidate listed a couple of names, as potential candidates, which prompted a call to this blog.

Former Sen. Isadore Hall contacted 2 Urban Girls to set the record straight.
“I am VERY flattered that the Compton residents believe I would consider being their city manager. Unfortunately, it is not true. I have accepted a position elsewhere that will be announced at a later time.”
Sounding in very good spirits and reiterating he is “doing good”, Hall went further to say:
“I would hope that a current city council candidate would use more discretion when sharing information with the community, especially when it is false.”
“Although there was discussion of me being the assistant city manager, I am happy with the position that I chose and will continue to do civic engagement in my [former] district and will continue to advocate and lift up the city of Compton. I AM GOING NOWHERE.”
2 Urban Girls looks forward to sharing his announcement, which should come by end of next week.

I called the clerks office and an agenda is posted in the window in front of city hall. There is no requirement to post the agenda on the website. The meeting will take place.
According to Anita Godwin the City Clerk and Douglas Sanders the Compton City Treasurer that meeting is on for tomorrow
Why would anyone listen to Doug Sanders?
Her name is “Alita”
We need confirmation of this. We believe this event will be held tomorrow
