KTLA is reporting that an African-American mother of three, and her male companion, were killed in shooting involving the Inglewood Police Department (IPD) . Details are sketchy. According to the press release issued by the department, the car was immobile in the intersection of Manchester and Inglewood Ave.
The responding officer say they saw a gun on the females lap, but didn’t say whether they made eye contact with either occupant, when they approached the car.
It is also unclear whether she discharged the weapon. IPD has yet to release the transcript of the 9-1-1 call that brought officers to the scene.
The woman was identified by friends and family as Kisha Michael, a mother of three boys. Her male companion has not been identified.
