“Warren is a real leader we can count on,” said Harris. “We’re going to get him in that seat.”
“For decades, Warren Furutani has been leading the fight to improve our schools and health care,” said Ybarra. “He is our champion.”
Harris is the founder of Parents of Watts, which serves disadvantaged youths and adults. Ybarra is the founder of the Watts Century Latino Organization, which advocates for improved housing, public safety, and education for local families.
“These are two of the most important community leaders in Watts, and local residents trust their opinions,” said Furutani. “Their support shows that I can unite the community and bring people together.”
Harris and Ybarra join a long list of key local leaders who have endorsed Furutani, including L.A. City Councilmember Joe Buscaino, Congressman Ted Lieu, L.A. School Board President Richard Vladovic, and Carson Mayor Pro Tem Elito Santarina.
