Since taking a seat on the city of Carson dais, its current mayor was in the cross hairs of the LA County Dist. Atty., dating back to Steve Cooley. It is widely known that there are multiple elected officials, holding two elected seats, yet the current district attorney is choosing to go after the Latino, not the others.
Albert Robles sits on both city council and the Water Replenishment District board.
In neighboring Pasadena, Dr. Anthony Fellow sits on both the community college board and a water board, yet, when this blog inquired of the District Attorney’s office why they weren’t requesting Dr. Fellow step down from one of his seats, spokesperson Jane Robison responded, “we have never received a complaint on Dr. Fellow’s.”

The district attorney’s office has tried to get Robles to step down from one of the dais’, on his own accord, and he has failed to do so.
Dist. Atty. Jackie Lacey has sough relief from state attorney general, Kamala Harris, who has given DA Lacey the green light.
It is key to note that DA Lacey is running unopposed to retain her position and Kamala Harris is running for a Senate seat.
