In a huge upset, Sen. Isadore Hall has picked up the endorsement of Hermosa Beach Mayor Carolyn Petty. Petty was sworn in as Mayor of Hermosa Beach on September 8th following the departure from Senator Hall’s opponent, Nanette Barragan. Petty previously served as CFO and on the Board of Directors for Harbor Interfaith Services, based in San Pedro.
In announcing her endorsement of Senator Hall for Congress, Hermosa Beach Mayor Carolyn Petty released the following statement:
“We need more leaders in Washington who are there not for politics, but for all the right reasons. That means leaders who are focused on creating more good paying jobs, keeping our economy competitive and thriving, helping small businesses grow, and improving residents’ qualify of life. I’ve just described what State Senator Isadore Hall embodies, and it is why I am proud to endorse him for Congress. He is clearly committed to solving problems and getting things done. I know he’ll make an outstanding representative for Southern California in Washington.”
Hall’s campaign recently announced that it surpassed a significant fundraising benchmark— hitting $741,695 raised for his primary election in California’s 44th Congressional District seat. For the latest quarter, Senator Hall hauled in a sizable $196,478 bringing his cash-on-hand to $496,666.
Notably, Senator Hall also has lined up enthusiastic support from the widely popular and respected incumbent Congresswoman, Janice Hahn.
Senator Hall was recently elected to California’s 35th State Senate district, which overlaps with over 60% of California’s 44th Congressional district. He currently serves as Chair of the Government Oversight Committee. Previously, he served in the State Assembly representing California’s 64th Assembly district.
