Inglewood Unified School District has definitely seen better days. From safety and health issues to the recent revelation about former board member Arnold Butler misusing school funds for campaign purposes, Inglewood residents are left wondering what to make of our district.

After receiving Dr. Brann’s personal email address, we reached out to him to inquire on safety issues. To our surprise, he responded. In spite of this blog’s articles about him, he did oblige with the following on how security will be addressed for the coming 2014-15 school year.
In general, the plan for campus security in 14/15 is to strengthen it through a mix of school police and campus security personnel along with support from the IPD. My belief is that safety is paramount and the first thing parents are concerned with in selecting a school for their children. Without a comfort level on this issue, any other measures taken end up being worthless.
