Finally the truth is coming out about what has been going on behind closed doors within the Inglewood Unified School District. KPCC is reporting that Inglewood officials spent money for the children to prevent Arnold Butler from loosing the election. Is Arnold Butler headed for a corruption trial of his own? He says he doesn’t know anything. Will his colleagues go down too?
The article further reveals Arnold Butler was interviewed at his home in Baldwin Hills. Butler was reelected back in April 2013 after running unopposed. It has since been reported he abruptly resigned his post back in April 2014.
This author cautioned Inglewood voters with our “Decade of Decline” series which highlighted the foibles of long time IUSD board members. Butler was also behind Turner-Bakewell construction scoring lucrative contracts to build LaTijera and Payne Elementary schools.

I remember a friend telling me he voted in favor of Butler because he ran unopposed and must be doing a great job. Wonder if he regrets that now.

Get your facts straight. Turner-Bakewell did not build LaTijera and Payne Elementary schools. You continually make comments without knowing what you are commenting about. Do the research and you will find that other firms built the schools.
I’m sorry…this shows he was paid for construction management and selected vendors to build the schools. Meetings for Measure K disbursements, which funded building of said schools, where always attended by reps from Turner-Bakewell. I know this because I attended and asked questions of Mr. Turner surrounding the excessive change orders that were submitted.
