The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority, MTA, spent $90 million of its own money to create the ExpressLanes along the I-110 and I-10 corridors. Did they get their money’s worth?[adsenseyu2]
Los Angeles, CA – Metro ExpressLanes are still receiving mixed reviews. When the first lanes opened back in November 2012 the lanes were under utilized and cost an average of $7 to ride from Inglewood to USC. Fast forward to March 2014 and the “demonstration” project has been exended, the same ride now costs $10 and the congestion in the lane mirrors the GP (general purpose) lanes. With reporting due to the federal government, Metro now needs your feedback on your thoughts on if traffic congestion was reduced, remained the same or increased as a result of needing a Fastrak transponder to ride in the converted carpool lanes. Have your voice heard at one of the dates/times listed below.
