The biggest news in Inglewood, CA for the month of October, was mysteriously omitted from the online edition of the cities official newspaper, the Inglewood Today.Justin Marquis Scott was released from jail for a crime he did not commit. On October 8th, two women lost their lives in Inglewood, in an unsolved murder. In a rush to arrest “someone”, they arrested Scott, the ex-boyfriend of one of the victims.
What makes the case so compelling is the fact there are four videotapes showing Scott in Compton, CA. Inglewood Police Department, in conjunction with the L.A. County Sheriff, went to Scott’s mothers home, and confiscated her own surveillance footage, at gunpoint.
Inglewood Police Department detectives failed to follow-up on Mr. Scott’s whereabouts and refused to turn over the tape back to his mother.
How much will this cost Inglewood residents and why didn’t the newspaper discuss it?

Would that be for arresting without cause, false imprisonment, or maybe there is a new category use of scapegoat for political purposes?
As for Inglewood Today’s failure to share significant information with the public…..to expect truth in “reporting” from the Willi Brown publication is as delusional as expecting cows to fly without a tornado assisting.
Willie has always printed that falsehoods or the mayor pleasing fluff pieces as requested in order to receive the ad revenue of Inglewood Unified, West Basin Water, Republic waste and assorted other groups which are dependent on Inglewood tax payers for their existence…..There was a time the payback was much more obvious $15,000.00 per month but the current ad format is less consistent.
By the way did you notice during this election cycle some neighbors had a copy of this publication rubberbanded to their door when the lead story was thispaper’s “endorsement” was for a specific candidate.? Yep wonder how much was promised for that added service?
Name calling, and belittling residents who disagreed with the benefactor is the Willie way while this is called a newspaper it is much more a publicity page dressed up in newsprint.
So when was it that any of Inglewood’s murders have been solved ?
That concept is more disturbing when you check a Transparent California and see what we actually pay our police officers …..
Thatbeen the person who sang the praises
