The City of Inglewood has partnered with the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB) to open a Teen Center in Inglewood. This is the second Teen Center sponsored in part by the SBWIB, with the first center opening in nearby Hawthorne back in 2008. Inglewood residents were happy their city was selected and opened for business.
The Teen Center is located in the Inglewood Main Library and open Monday through Thursday from 3-6pm. Teens can come enjoy computers, video games, board games and ping pong to release energy after a long day at school. Other services provided are job training and tutoring.
The opening was attended by city officials, city staff and enthusiastic teens ready to see what the center has to offer. Inglewood Unified School District sent state appointed administrator Dr. Don Brann and Morningside High School principal Dr. Reginald Sirls was also in attendance. Does that man ever smile?
