This is How we Do IT!!!

Inglewood, CA is the City of Champions.  Inglewood has produced many basketball greats.  Baby Jordan. Paul Pierce. Reggie Theus. Mario Bennett. Lisa Leslie.  How many of you remember her scoring 100 points against Mira Costa in the Morningside High School gym and the team walking out?

Of all the greats that have passed through, many aren’t giving back to our youth, consistently.  Jimmie Burton, however, a lifelong Inglewood resident, and alumni from Morningside High School, is giving back to the youth of Inglewood through his youth AAU basketball team, the City Stars.  How proud are we that KPCC is recognizing this young man, who is not a famous athlete, but one who simply cares about the kids to give his time day in and day out.  He is motivating our youth through the promotion of teamwork, education and discipline and these kids are truly headed towards big things.

Inglewood STAND UP for Coach Jimmie and his City Stars.  Kudos again for KPCC showing the POSITIVE side of Inglewood.  Watch for yourself on KPCC
