Dr. Dre makes good on his commitment to give back to the city of Compton.  The LA Times is reporting the soon to be re-built Compton High School has received a $10 million dollar donation towards the schools Performing Arts Center.  This author has enjoyed many performances at the school.

Friday Is “Dre Day” in the City of Compton

This Friday, June 19th, the City of Compton will once again hold “Dre Day” to celebrate one its most famous residents, Andre “Dre Dre” Young.  This is the 2nd year the event will be held at the Compton Community Center.


Dre. Dre donates to USC

Andre Young, aka Dr. Dre, and Interscope mogul Jimmy Iovine, have pledged $70 million to fund the USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation.
