It’s a great day and not so great day in the City of Compton.  With all of the ballots counted, we finally know who is headed into the June 2, 2015 run-off.

District 1

Richard Allatorre (454 votes)
Janna Zurita (512 votes)

District population as of 2012 24,238 residents

District 4

Dr. Jones (293 votes)
Emma Shariff (208 votes)

District population as of 2012 24,020

The city of nearly 100,000 residents has 22,893 registered voters which account for 23% of the population.

Bryan O. Parker was not successful this time around but appears to have strong support should he decide to enter the upcoming school board race.  It wouldn’t be a bad idea for Barbara Calhoun to consider running.  An incumbent shared with 2 Urban Girls they won’t be seeking re-election.

Don’t forget to vote June 2, 2015.

  1. I would like to thank 2UrbanGirls for believing in a little upstart by the name of Bryan O. Parker. 🙂
