Newest Black LAPD Commissioner gets no love from LAPD rank & file

dsc_7263In a scathing letter addressed to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, LAPD union President Craig Lally voices the rank & files issues with the new Black commissioner, Cynthia McClain-Hill.

McClain-Hill is half of the lobbying firm Strategic Counsel, who has done an outstanding job of bringing financial resources to Compton Unified, the city of Compton and other municipalities, who utilize their state and federal lobbying services.  In fact, Strategic Counsel is paid approx. five times more than other lobbying firm, in the immediate area.

During commission meetings, McClain-Hill appears to pacify the Black Lives Matter-LA agitators, who force the premature ending of meetings, on a weekly basis.  She continues to publicly apologize to them for their disruptions. BLMLA’s ultimate goal is to fire the police chief and abolish the police department.

During a weekend jaunt to Arizona, mayor eric campaigned against Sheriff Joe Arpaio citing his “wasting of taxpayers money” with his policing policies, yet publicly supports Chief Beck, who’s policies have resulted in multi-million dollar payouts from Los Angeles taxpayers.

Where’s Connie Rice?  Her organization, Advancement Project, along with other community groups Community Coalition (Karen Bass), Brotherhood Crusade (Danny Bakewell), Children’s Defense Fund (Marian Wright Edelman) and the SEIU union, have signed a letter demanding more transparency from LAPD.  One thing all of the above have in common is their strong alliance with county supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas.

You may recall Rice was appointed by current VP of the LAPD commission’s mentor, former mayor Richard Riordan, to lead LAPD out of decade old federal decree.  Will LAPD find itself back in the same situation?
