#WhatDoWeTellOurSons when their dad is in jail?  Sesame Street aims to teach children about having a loved one in the pokey through their newest Muppet, Alex.  Is it a little cliché that Alex is wearing a “hoodie”?

The Sesame Workshop says it created  the ‘Little  Children, Big Challenges: Incarceration’ initiative, an  online tool kit  intended to help kids with a parent in prison find  support and comfort, and  provide families with strategies and tips to  talk to their children about  incarceration.

What do you think of Sesame Street using Alex to teach children about jail?  Will the unintended consequence be more kids growing up thinking jail is not cool, thus they will stay away from a life of crime?
