LACMTA is providing FREE bus operator training

Attend a recruitment to learn about the Bus Operator Bridge Program!

Be part of a free 4 week training program that will prepare you for an interview

and job placement with Metro Transit!

Previous bus driving experience is not required! Class A or B drivers are encouraged to apply!

Initial requirements include:

*Be Unemployed
*Have A Positive   Attitude

**Must be able to pass a strict criminal background   check**

*   Able to pass a drug test, employment verification and DOT Physical

* Valid   California driver’s license (minimum two years)

* At   least 21 years of age

* Satisfactory   driving record for the past 5 years

* Ability   to speak, read, and write English

* Have   a consistent employment history

* No   visible tattoos or facial jewelry


You   must bring the following documents with   you:

  • Social        Security Card
  • Driver License       
  • Resume
  • Current H6        Driving Record (DMV Print Out from the Department of Motor Vehicles)
  • Proof of        Unemployment Insurance (If Receiving)
  • Lay off Letter        (If available)
  • Copy of DD214        (Veterans Only)
  • 10 yr Detailed        Wage Report (Social Security Office) OR 10 yrs        of W2’s (Free from the IRS)
