JUDY, JUDY, JUDY — The California Fair Political Practices Commission last week issued its series of decisions on complaints filed against several California politicians, among them being Judith L. Dunlap, the recently and finally ousted Inglewood City Council member. The FPPC’s commentary on Dunlap reads as follows: “Judith L. Dunlap, Dunlap for Mayor 2010, Dunlap 2009, and Friends to Elect Judy Dunlap. Judith L. Dunlap was an Inglewood City Council member since 1993. She ran for the Inglewood City Council in the April 7, 2009 election and in a runoff election on Aug. 31, 2010, and won both times. She also ran for mayor of Inglewood in the June 8, 2010 and Nov. 2, 2010 elections and was defeated both times. Dunlap for mayor 2010, Dunlap 2009, and Friends to Elect Judy Dunlap, were the controlled committees of Ms. Dunlap for these elections. Ms. Dunlap served as treasurer of the committees. In this matter, she failed to file pre-eletion and semi-annual campaign statements and failed to maintain records to support the information required to be disclosed on campaign statements. $9,500 fine.”
