Inglewood USD employees charged with stealing textbooks

IUSDJust as soon as Dr. Brann rescinded the layoffs of many Inglewood Unified School District employees, two of them are in jail for theft.

LA County District Attorney Jackie Lacey announced the arrests of 13 people in connection with stealing school textbooks for the ring leader to sell for profit in his online bookstore.

The other 11 come from LAUSD schools.  Looks like LAUSD doesn’t have to worry about the kids getting jacked for the soon to be issued iPads, the employees are gonna steal them first.

IUSD employees Shari Stewart from Crozier Middle School, received $4,200 for her participation and Plant Manager Frank Fuston, allegedly received $1,100 in checks and cash for his participation.

The theft was uncovered by Inglewood USD school police who brought their case to Lacey’s office.

What else does Inglewood USD school police know and haven’t revealed…yet?
