With the City of Inglewood having 62,346 registered voters, Evans was declared the winner, receiving 1,945 votes to Graciela Patino’s 902.  Overall voter turnout was a dismal 4.5%.

481 people turned out at the polls, while 2,383 votes were submitted via mail.

Margaret Turner-Evans joins Dr. D’artagnan Scorza, Dr. Carliss McGhee, Margaret Richards-Bowers and Melody Ngaue-Tuuholoaki.

Remarkably all but one member has experience in running a multi-million dollar budget, but State Trustee Dr. Don Brann assured 2 Urban Girls that all members will be required to get training on budgeting, so they will be well versed in fiscal matters for the day local control is handed back to them.

Congratulations to all of the newly elected Advisory Board members.
