Inglewood High School Girls’ Basketball Team has their Banquet

iusdThe Inglewood High School girl’s basketball team recently celebrated their accomplishments, with a team banquet at Dave & Buster’s, in Westchester, CA.  Family, friends, Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD) personnel along with state administrator Dr. Don Brann, were in attendance for the family friendly event.

The Inglewood Today newspaper also shared that community leaders:  Senator’s Rod Wright and Holly Mitchell along with Assembly members Steve Bradford and Sebastian Ridley-Thomas, also helped contribute towards the event to honor the girl’s team and their coach.

According to the IUSD website:

The varsity team led by Coach Tony Scott finished the season with a spot in the CIF-SS 3A final against Santa Margarita. The team last played in a championship game in 2010.

“I’m very, very, very proud of the effort and the energy that the kids put in throughout the season,” said Scott, who also acknowledged the hard work of his coaching staff: “I couldn’t have done it without these guys.”
