FREE Electricians Pre-Apprenticeship Math Class

pvPlaya Vista Job Opportunities and Business Services (PVJOBS), in partnership with the Electrical Training Institute (ETI), is seeking men and women with strong math skills, good work ethics and a desire to pursue a career as a union electrician.


Candidates must be 18 years of age, possess a valid California Driver License, proof of high school diploma/GED or HSPE, ability to demonstrate legal right to work in the US, and be able and willing to commit to completing a NO COST 40-hour technical math class, (classes will be held over 8 consecutive Saturdays, 8:00-1:30pm.)


Those who successfully complete this class will receive preparatory training and a certificate of completion that will satisfy the algebra requirement to apply for a 3-5 year union apprenticeship program in Electricians Union (IBEW).


Wages for this occupation range from approximately $15.00 per hour for beginning apprentices to over $40.00 per hour for experienced journey-level workers.

Hurry, the selection process will end on January 22, 2013! Class size is 25 people and will begin on Saturday, January 26, 2013.
