I first heard of the name “Boko Haram” after he kidnapped 300 school girls, in April of last year and they have yet to be found. Apparently his violence dates back to 2009.  Since then, Boko Haram has set about kidnapping/killing 1,000’s more and was responsible for killing 2,000 residents in Baga, a town in Nigeria. #BlackLivesMatter has become the battle cry of those facing brutality at the hands of police.  Are the lives lost to terrorists not important?

Americans lost thousands, in the horrific terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, and we are told to “never forget”.  An international coalition was assembled to bring down the “Axis of Evil”.

Parisian cartoonists lost their lives at the hands of terrorists and moments of silence were observed around the world with hashtag created to express outrage. We even had a moment of silence at the 23rd Annual Empowerment Congress.

How are we recognizing the lives lost in Africa?  Are black lives forgettable?  Terrorists are taking more lives than police and how are we going to effectively address that?

Although foregin troops have been called in from Chad to help out, is that enough?
