A loyal 2 Urban Girls reader and long time Compton resident, inquired if we have frequented the newest soul food resident to open in District 4.  Located in the shopping center directly across from the Compton courthouse and adjacent to Popeye’s, this family run business has city council connections.

The resident admired the atmosphere and.cleanliness of the establishment.  They thoroughly enjoyed the food and service provided by the daughter of Compton School Board President Satra Zurita, who also serves as council liaison to her aunt.

The resident also noticed certificates related to the operation of E&J Soul Food bear the name of District 1 council woman Janna Zurita.

Next time you’re in the area, stop in and support this woman owned black business.  Yelp reviews indicate you will be happy you did.
