City of Compton attempts to get their financial house in order

The city of Compton is taking the first steps towards reestablishing the city’s credit rating.  Agenda item #9, on the January 9, 2018, council agenda, was for a contract totaling $850,000 to produce audits for FY’s 2013-2017.  It was also noted during the same council meeting that the finance department is short seven employees.

California Dairy Families and the Los Angeles Rams Award Inglewood Unified School District $10,000 Grant

This is a great example of a public/private partnership in the City of Inglewood.  The Los Angeles Rams and the California Dairy Families have given $10,000 to the Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD) to support student wellness.
