Breaking News: Judge puts Measure P in its place

Compton residents have gone to court against Measure P.  Although LA County filed a demur against the residents challenge, the judge threw it out and a trial date has been set.  What does this mean for potholes in Compton?

The judge says the city CAN NOT spend a dollar to “finish the work”.

City attorney candidate Marcus Musante tells 2 Urban Girls he looks forward to trying this case as Compton’s city attorney.

Kudos to mayoral candidate Lynne Boone who rallied the residents, got them to donate towards legal costs and saw this through.

In the words of funkmaster Warren G “what’s next, what’s n-x-e-t”?

Election is Tuesday, April 18th.  Don’t forget to vote.

One Response so far.

  1. Robert Ray says:

This is exactly what I have been saying all along. This is why I kept telling the council to say NO to the mayor’s “bond” because I knew there would not be money to make ‘bond” payments. There is justice after all!!!!!
