Barely elected and already pondering the next seat

imagesNot even a full two months into his new Senator gig, Isadore Hall triumphantly declared he will run for Janice Hahn’s congressional seat, should she run for L.A. County Supervisor to replace termed out Don Knabe.  He has previously dropped out of the same race on at least two occasions.

Hall was quoted in L.A. Times as saying “he will run no matter who’s in the race”.  His opponents are shaping up to be Joe Buscaino and some crazy rumor the Compton mayor could be interested, although she was quoted in a recent article saying she would run for a 2nd term.

As an Inglewood resident, living in the 35th District, it would have been nice to elect someone who actually wants to work to improve things, as opposed to using the seat as a landing to stay on the payroll.  Then again, if we knew that, we would have elected the Republican.

I’ve seen what he’s done in the 64th Assembly District and perhaps Inglewoodians are better off when he leaves.  It will be great to finally see him run against a qualified and well funded candidate.  Sparks will fly!
