There is too much negativity on the television nowadays.  Everyone wants to be a reality tv star, rapper, ball player, swagged out, turnt up and education is falling by the way side.  Television network heads are constantly recycling tv shows, here are a few that are worth reviving:

ABC’s After School Specials

ABC’s School House Rock

KTLA’s Family Film Festival

Family Film Festival 1978-1992

Family Film Festival 1978-1992

Regular programming, that dealt with real life issues facing pre-pubescent teens in school, kept children educated on topics teens were experiencing. Incest, peer pressure, bullying were strong topics and new issues of homosexuality, family in prison, show the need is back to reintroduce these programs to todays teens.

Previous generations excelled for television was constantly reinforcing education and social norms through children friendly programming.  Most programs listed above can be rented for FREE at your local neighborhood library or viewed on YouTube.

When can we get back to basics?
