Inglewood residents are aware that Metro is bringing the Crenshaw/LAX line our way.  Not everyone is aware of the status of the project, or how to obtain a job while the project gets underway.  The Crenshaw CLC is the official communications department for the outreach to Inglewood residents.

Inglewood triple shooting suspect lawyer was previously disbarred?

Wednesday, October 30, 2013 Double murder charges were dropped against 19-year-old Justin Marquis Scott from Compton, CA.  A Los Angeles Superior Court viewed several video surveillance tapes and approved the prosecutors motion to drop the charges.  It was visibly clear Scott couldn’t possibly be in both Compton and Inglewood at the same time.

The residents in the City of Inglewood, are in serious need of a hospital that can accommodate trauma patients.  Inglewood residents have lacked access to a trauma center dating back to 1987 when Daniel Freeman Hospital closed its doors and in 2004 when L.A. County Supervisors voted to close Martin Luther King, Jr. Hospital in nearby Willowbrook.

Inglewood Unified School District reopens Continuation High School

The Inglewood Unified School District has announced the reopening of the Continuation, now known asInglewood Continuation High School, on the campus of Morningside High School.  Former Inglewood High School principal, Debbie Tate, is the principal of the continuation, which has more than 80 students currently enrolled.


54th Assembly District candidates forum hosted by BLAYD

The Black Los Angeles Young Dems (BLAYD) held a special election candidate forum at St. Bede’s Episcopal Church in Mar Vista and was moderated by Dallas Fowler.  The event marked the first debate between the candidates: Christopher R. Armenta, John Jake and Sebastian Ridley-Thomas.  The event was well attended and standing room only.
