Assembly Candidate Steve Neal Joins Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas at March and Rally Against Child Sex Trafficking

Steve Neal(Los Angeles) – Tonight, Long Beach City Councilman and 64th Assembly District candidate Steve Neal will be joining LA County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas and other community leaders at a rally and march against sex trafficking of children.

“I am honored to have been invited by Supervisor Ridley-Thomas to attend this important event, and I urge all of my constituents to attend as well. This is a call to action across Southern California. This type of abuse can no longer stand, and it’s time to spread awareness and utilize all of the resources at our disposal to end this terrible epidemic. I am proud to stand with Supervisor Ridley-Thomas and our community in this fight.”

Steve Neal has been a community activist and leader in the Los Angeles area for decades. Since his election in 2010, Steve, a Compton native, has served North Long Beach on the Long Beach City Council where he has an accomplished record supporting neighborhoods, small businesses, and working families. He is the author and creator of the Long Beach Foreclosure Registry Program, the Long Beach Liquor Store Modernization Program, and the North Long Beach Business Alliance. Councilman Neal is the Assistant Pastor of S.E.A.M. Faith Family Church. He and his wife, Katonja, live in Long Beach and are the parents of five daughters, one son, and have ten grandchildren.
