L.A. Unified bans suspension for ‘willful defiance’

In ground-breaking action, the Los Angeles Unified school board voted Tuesday to ban suspensions of defiant students, directing officials to use alternative disciplinary practices instead.

LAUSD continues Breakfast in Classroom program

Although officials, teachers and students can all agree that the food LAUSD serves its students sucks, the board voted unanimously to continue it.  So the board wants to continue wasting taxpayers $6.1 million dollars by feeding our kids low quality food?

School board members pointed out that the program has its problems, which includes the quality of the food.  “The food’s not very good. It’s often moldy and cold,” said teacher Matthew Kogan.

We have some real idiots running our school districts who knowingly and willingly serve sub-par food to students.
