Former Compton mayor due back in court this month

Thirteen years ago, on February 27, 2003, members of the Compton city council were all charged with crimes related to the misues of public money.  On February 25th, only one will be brought back to Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center for a pre-trial conference.

Compton Unified trustees appoint new board member

At last night’s regular school board meeting, Compton Unified School District (CUSD) trustees appointed a member of the community, to the seat once held by Charles Davis.  This action comes on the day the school’s teacher sent out a flyer to picket at certain schools.
