Inglewood Unified School District will NOT meet financial obligations for the coming school year

IUSDThe California Department of Education has released their first interim status report for fiscal year 2013-14, which paints a dismal picture for Inglewood taxpayers and stakeholders.  Inglewood USD is projected to not make their financial obligations for the next two school years.

It appears as though the students from Inglewood High School were right to protest the recent $38k expenditure, for a teachers retreat, that state appointed administrator Dr. Don Brann can’t explain how it left Inglewood.

You may also recall that our state legislators made special exception for Dr. Brann to receive both his six-figure pension and six-figure Inglewood USD salary.

Have Inglewood taxpayers ever been told what collateral was used to back the $55million emergency loan authored by Sen. Rod Wright?  We also don’t know what will happen to the $90million in bond proceeds voters recently approved.

Who can we thank at LACOE, who added fuel to the fire, by authorizing so many damn charter schools in OUR city as compared to Compton?
